Is time constant?

I'm sure we all know that time, as measured in seconds, is constant. The tick and the tock, going at a constant cycle we call a second. But when it comes to experiencing it, do we do so at a rate that is also constant relative to the earth?

I'm sure most of us heard of the term "Near Death Experience", where people report being in a state of mind where they can magically go through most of their past experiences in a short period of time. And we also know that time passes by quickly when we having a great time. I'm sure some of you wonder why Generations is over that fast someday LOL. Yep it all has to do with the way our grey matter perceive time...

Well I once was involved in a situation that made me realize time really can be slowed down, or in another way, our brain can accelerate the rate of thinking over time. Ok so this is what happened:
I was with two of my best friends in a bakkie from this school where they had some sort of a function. I was at the back with this friend while another one was driving. So along the way home, with me sitting on the trailing edge of the trunk, my driving friend in there decided to overtake this car in front of us. I wasn't aware of his intentions so he went for it with real acceleration!!! Now his sudden change in direction caught me off guard and I was instantly thrown off the back of the bakkie, upside down, on my way down to the road(tarred). So along the way I thought that was it, am done, and that I lived all my life so that it could end just there. And I was on my way down, about to smash my head down, break my neck and seal my fate.. So I was in the zone where some call "Near Death Experience". What happened next was remarkable and confirmed what I just typed way above. So on the way down, TIME slowed down so much that in a space of 1.1 seconds I thought of the things normal people would take well over a minute to comprehend or reason. Somewhere between that second, I realized that I was going. I also remembered how I once fell from the back of a moving car when I was about 10 and got away with it. I also started to strategize how I'm going to shield my neck and avoid being hit by another car that was following behind us. And yes, all those thoughts in a matter of a second! Luckily through some magic of automatic reflexes, and intervention from Above, my fingers held on somewhere and the motion of the car threw me back into it and I survived. And here I am today, just remembering how I had my life at the brink of my very own fingers...

So our brain has the ability to change our perception of time. Each one of us experience time a different frequencies. Thus things aren't passing us as fast as we tend to believe. And thinking of all that, it is possible that we can make use of this knowledge to help us through the challenges we face by buying extra time! How is that possible? Well one way that's possible is if we put ourselves at a point of absolute extremity, where we believe we at the point of no return... In that way, we can force our brain's perception of time to slow, thus buying ourselves extra time..
So during that exam you could literally have an extra 30 minutes above anyone else. Wouldn't that be cool 8)..?
